Unfortunately, almost on a daily basis the Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center receives sick, injured or neglected stray animals. These animals may have been hit by a car, found abandoned in a building or backyard, abused or brought to us by a Good Samaritan.

The Help the Animals Fund, Inc. an affiliate of the Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is an independent 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. In promotion of its mission to prevent cruelty to animals, the fund provides medical care to the sick, neglected and injured stray animals at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter. The fund gives these stray animals the much needed and deserved care that they would otherwise not receive. Allowing them time to heal and be placed up for adoption at the Animal Shelter so they may find their forever home.

This Fund is supported 100% by voluntary donations which are tax deductible.
