Youthstock 2010 hosted over 1500 young people and their families at the Bald Hill Amphitheater on Saturday, April 24. The day featured hundreds of young people from some fifteen of the Town's School Districts, all volunteering to share and showcase their talents and community service programs. More than forty community organizations were on hand to share information about their programs and opportunities for youth involvement. Musical performances, art and creative talent demonstrations, BMX and skateboard shows were all part of this event, designed to give attention to the many positive youth and all of the great community service that is performed by them in Brookhaven Town. The event was conceived by teens on the Town Youth Bureau Advisory Council, and supported by many of the Town's contracted youth agencies.
